My journey as a photographer started in 2019 as I documented my travels around the world & planned my own destination wedding. With over 15 countries visited, my camera quickly became my must-have-at-all-times travel essential.
I quickly fell in love with the art of storytelling, and I soon went from capturing country after country to one milestone after another. A great appreciation and passion for intimate & destination wedding photography was born, and so was Captured by Sammi.

We are a dedicated team of Chicago photographers and videographers who genuinely cherish the bond between the people we photograph. Our commitment goes far beyond capturing breathtaking images; it’s about creating an experience brimming with warmth, care, and attention to detail every step of the way.
Today, many of the families we photograph, we’ve known for years, and it is the greatest privilege of this work to watch their stories unfold.
